DANA RUBEN

After completing her Bachelor’s degree in Integrative Physiology at the University of Colorado in Boulder, she studied at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, where she completed her Masters in the Science of Traditional Oriental Medicine. Through the Pacific College campus, Dana worked in the student clinic as a Chinese Medicine health care provider for a variety of patients. This 4-year program includes 900 hours of clinical work and experience. Dana interned at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego. Additionally, interning at a community clinic treating underserved communities with integrative medicine. Dana implements the holistic approach to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) by creating an individualized treatment plan for each patient. Dana’s ultimate goal is providing affordable integrative care to patients and working alongside other health providers to find the best care for each individual.
After completing her Masters degree at the University of Amsterdam, Dutch native Dorothe Kolkena worked as a language teacher until she moved to Brazil in the late nineties. There she came in contact with Traditional Chinese Medicine and fell in love with the approach to health of this medicine. She finished her studies in 2011 and combined her love for teaching and medicine as TCM teacher alongside running a successful private practice until leaving for Michigan in 2017. At the moment she is completing her Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine at the Chicago College of Oriental Medicine. Dorothe firmly believes in an integrative approach to healthcare alongside other care providers and plans on specializing in Gynecology/Obstetrics and Oncology after graduating.
